The
Latino Federation of Greater Washington (LFGW) promotes
understanding of and action on important issues facing Latinos in the
Washington metropolitan region. It supports its nonprofit member agencies
through the development of a collective voice and agenda that advances
Latino concerns and facilitates grants and capacity building services
that promote effective management and financial systems for its members.
Through the LFGW, member community-based organizations (CBO's) coordinate
service delivery, multiply their purchasing and bargaining
power, and share information and resources that foster the development
of individual CBO's and the community as a whole.
LFGW members provide a wide array of services such as education, health, economic development, legal assistance, child care, the arts and culture.
